About Us

Dr. Willie Jackson is an experienced teacher, principal, district administrator, mediator, and mentor with more than 30 years’ experience in all levels of education, including 13 years in the classroom, 6 years as a school site principal, and 10 years as a district-level administrator. She has hands-on experience with a broad range of responsibilities involving multiple constituencies and stakeholders at the local, district, and state levels. Her passion for learning and appreciation of all human beings have been instrumental in her effectiveness in each of her roles. 

Dr. Jackson is adept at paradigm shifts to enhance the educational environment for students, with a particular emphasis on special education and students with special needs. As a National Certified Principal Mentor, she works with a cohort of principals across the country. In addition, she is a Mediator under Minnesota rule 114, and is on the Minnesota roster for Civil Hybrid Mediators.

Before founding RRI, Dr. Jackson was a district administrator for Minneapolis Public Schools. Her responsibilities ranged from collaboration with elementary and secondary principals in solving urgent and crisis situations, to reengineering instructional services, to partnering with the Minnesota Department of Education on corrective action plans and legal statues.

Among her academic accomplishments, Dr. Jackson received an Ed.D. in Educational Policy and Administration as well as a Specialist Certification, Curriculum Design & Industrial Relations, from University of Minnesota. She received an M.S. in Education and Counseling from Southern Illinois University and a B.A. in Accounting, Economics, and Sociology from McKendree College.

Dr. Jackson maintains current State of Minnesota Department of Education licenses in elementary education, learning disabilities, elementary school principal, secondary school principal, school business officer, district superintendent, and director of special education.

Esther Ivory-Shelborne brings over 20 years of consulting experience in the public and private sectors focusing on data management, operations and program management. She is skilled at analyzing large volumes of complex data, coordinating all phases of projects, assessing and evaluating programs, and managing the day-to-day operations of multi-functional teams.

In additional to providing analytical and technical support, she has managed a variety of projects and government contracts in size and scope for program offices in the U.S. Department of Justice, National Institute of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. While at CSR, Incorporated, she directs multi-year federal support contracts and manages technical assistance teams. During her tenure at American Management Systems, she developed expertise in systems design and implementation, employee coaching and team building.

Ms. Ivory-Shelborne received an M.S. in Public Management and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.A. in Government International Relations/ Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame.
